July’s Executive Message From Scott

Dear ASEA Associates,

This month’s focus is sustainability, both for ASEA as a company and for each of us individually as we live and share our lives. Finding the means and ability to sustain is an important and key component of ASEA.

Sustainability and work-life balance are two important aspects of life that can greatly impact our well-being and overall health. Work-life balance is a key component of sustainability. It refers to finding the balance between work commitments and personal life, allowing individuals to prioritize their personal well-being, relationships, and personal interests outside of work. Achieving work-life balance leads to increased job satisfaction, lower stress levels, improved mental and physical health, and stronger relationships.

At ASEA we really do strive to promote work-life balance that can create a sustainable and productive work environment. One area that has had a tremendous impact on our employees and productivity is that of flexible work practices. This involves flexible work hours and telecommuting to help individuals better manage their personal and business responsibilities. That is one joy our associates have as well, the flexibility to build and sustain their our goals and business by adopting flexibility not just with their work hours but their working ideologies and methods.

Here are a few ideas I would like to share that may help you as an associate create a more sustainable plan for work/home life balance.

  1. Prioritize Time Management: Efficiently managing your time is crucial for maintaining a work-life balance.
  2. Establish Boundaries: Clearly defining boundaries between work and personal life is essential to being fully present in the moment.
  3. Communication and Support: Effective communication both at home and at work can help you find balance and prioritize responsibilities while caring for yourself.
  4. Self-Care and Well-being: Prioritize self-care to maintain physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Taking care of yourself will increase your productivity and enable you to handle the demands of life more effectively.
  5. Delegate and Seek Help: Don’t hesitate to delegate tasks or seek assistance when needed. Collaborate with colleagues to share the workload. Learning to ask for help can alleviate stress and allow you to focus on what matters most.
  6. Set Realistic Expectations: Understand that achieving a perfect balance between work and home life may not always be possible.
  7. Flexibility and Adaptability: Recognize that work-life balance needs may vary over time. Flexibility and adaptability are key to effectively managing the evolving.

As a company ASEA has become sustainable over time. By finding balance and using the suggestions I shared we have found success that drives our employees and associates around the world. Remember that work-life balance is a personal journey, and what works for one person may not work for another. Enjoy the journey and practice an attitude of gratitude. Your outstanding efforts and superior skills are helping us to build a company that will be successful for many years to come.

Let’s roll!
